I have been slack with practice for many years...about 10 yrs now. My strings are quite old and "off" sounding, which is of course understandable after a decade. I plan to practice both picking and strumming again (think moderate lvl player.) I am wondering which set of strings you might recommend? I expect to beat on this strings a bit, since I am out of practice, so I would like to balance longevity with a nice hearty tone. I am playing on a Washburn/Oscar Shmidt. I had planned to paint it but never got around to it, so the finish is an unfinished one for a while. I might add a few drawings and add a nice finish later on. So, toss me any ideas anyone? I have a suggestion I am working off of, but hoping that someone else might offer that same idea unprovoked. Thanks again.
